A Vision Rooted in Personal Experience

Founded in 2017 by Dana and Todd Bellefeuille, The Village Bakery was born from a personal understanding of the challenges faced by those with special needs. Dana, an accomplished pastry chef with over two decades of experience, combined her culinary passion with a heartfelt commitment to create opportunities for individuals often overlooked in the workforce. Her husband, Todd, a dedicated Spokane Valley firefighter, supports this endeavor, making it a true family mission.

More Than Just Baked Goods

While patrons rave about the bakery's delectable offerings—from themed cakes and pastries to savory soups and sandwiches—the true standout is the team behind the counter. Affectionately known as "Bake-A-Tiers," these employees bring enthusiasm, dedication, and a unique charm to the establishment, making every visit memorable.

Community Engagement and Recognition

The Village Bakery's impact extends beyond its walls. Collaborating with organizations like Intercept, Children's Village, and Down Syndrome Connections, the bakery provides invaluable job training and life skills to its employees. Their efforts haven't gone unnoticed; accolades include the 2022 Small Business of the Year by the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber and the 2023 Idaho’s Best Bakery award.
