Florida Tourist Gored by Bison in Yellowstone’s First Attack of the Year

A Florida man became the first person gored by a bison this year in Yellowstone National Park, according to park authorities. The incident took place near the West Entrance, during what has become a common time of year for bison-related injuries as tourist season ramps up.
The 40-year-old visitor reportedly approached the animal too closely, violating park regulations that require people to stay at least 25 yards away from wildlife such as bison. The animal responded aggressively, charging and injuring the man. He was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment of his wounds. Read More…
