Museum of North Idaho Opens Its Doors to History Lovers with Rare Moving Sale

The Museum of North Idaho is offering more than just a moving sale — it’s offering the public a rare chance to own pieces of local history. As the museum transitions to its new home in McEuen Park, its former location near City Park is being cleared out ahead of scheduled demolition in June. In the process, a treasure trove of historical artifacts, memorabilia, and vintage materials is now up for grabs.

Running daily through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the sale has drawn collectors, history buffs, and curious visitors alike. One such shopper, Jack Smith, was on his way out of town when he turned around upon hearing about the sale. A lifelong lover of history and old photographs, Smith couldn’t resist picking up a black-and-white reproduction of Farragut Naval Training Station from the 1940s. Read More…
