Glacier Park’s Iconic Road Split Between Cyclists and Cars Amid Maintenance

As summer traffic surges in Glacier National Park, the Going-to-the-Sun Road has become a tightrope of coordination between motorists and cyclists. With parts of the iconic alpine route still under seasonal restrictions, visitors are finding themselves navigating a shared space that’s both scenic and complex.
Currently, cyclists are permitted to ride only on the west side of Logan Pass, while motor vehicles are limited to the east side, up to Jackson Glacier Overlook.
