A wildfire that ultimately destroyed the historic Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim was allowed to burn for several days before it spiraled out of control, according to new details released by fire officials. 38-Pound Lake Trout Caught in Payette Lake Sets New Idaho Record

A new state fishing record was set at Payette Lake after an angler reeled in the largest lake trout ever recorded in Idaho. The catch was officially confirmed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and has earned its place in the state’s record books.
