Right here in Coeur d’Alene, 10-year-old Kenzie is bringing a taste of the Southwest to North Idaho with her business, MNM Lemonade Squad. Originally from Tucson, she’s back for a second year in Lemonade Day, now serving her award-winning prickly pear lemonade alongside cupcakes from Alani Bakery, pizza from Westside Pizza, and cheesecakes from North Idaho Cheesecakes. Her stand isn’t just about treats, it’s about giving back.
Kenzie donates part of her proceeds to the Red & Blue Foundation, supporting local first responders and their families. Her mission has earned support from a wide range of local sponsors who believe in her heart and hustle. With big dreams of becoming a firefighter or paramedic, Kenzie is proving that age is no barrier to making a real difference in the community.

Controversial Bill Would Strip Protections from Yellowstone-Area Grizzlies

A U.S. House committee has advanced legislation that would remove Endangered Species Act protections for grizzly bears in parts of the Northern Rockies, despite pushback from wildlife advocates and tribal leaders.
The bill, approved by the House Natural Resources Committee, would require the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to delist grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone and Northern Continental Divide ecosystems, areas in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, and transfer management authority to the states.
