Spectacular Northern Lights Light Up Skies Beyond Usual Boundaries

Recent solar storms have led to stunning displays of the Northern Lights visible further south than usual, including parts of Germany, the UK, and the northeastern United States. This increased activity comes as the sun nears its solar maximum, a peak in its 11-year activity cycle. The NOAA issued warnings about these geomagnetic storms, which can affect power and radio signals. The colorful auroras are caused by charged particles from the sun interacting with Earth's atmosphere. Future displays are expected to be less visible outside northern regions. (Read More...)
