Manhunt Underway for Former Soldier Accused of Killing His Daughters

Washington state authorities have launched an intense manhunt for a former Army soldier accused of killing his three young daughters at a remote campsite near Leavenworth. The search for 32-year-old Travis Caleb Decker has prompted the closure of several popular campgrounds and sections of the Pacific Crest Trail as law enforcement combs the rugged Cascade Mountains.
The three victims—Paityn (9), Evelyn (8), and Olivia Decker (5), were reported missing on May 30 after their father failed to return them to their mother in Wenatchee following a scheduled visitation. Four days later, the girls’ bodies were discovered at a secluded campsite, sparking a multi-agency investigation and manhunt. Read More…

Stage Tribute Celebrates 80 Years Since WWII with Song and Story

As the nation marks 80 years since the end of World War II, a special performance in Coeur d’Alene will honor the sacrifices and service of American veterans through music and storytelling. “A Veteran Salute in Song and Story,” presented by Love Joy Harmony Inc., will be staged at the Lake City Playhouse from June 3 to 8, offering an inspiring blend of patriotism and performance.
