Beyond delicious baked goods, the Village Bakery is deeply embedded in the community, partnering with organizations like Intercept, Children’s Village, and Down Syndrome Connections to provide training and support. Looking ahead, the bakery plans to host a drive-on car show fundraiser to raise funds for much-needed equipment while bringing attention to local resources for those with special needs. ‘No Kings’ Protest Hits 12 Idaho Cities in Nationwide Anti-Trump Demonstration

A nationwide protest campaign targeting President Donald Trump is scheduled for June 14, with Idaho joining in with planned demonstrations across at least 13 cities. The effort is organized by a group called “No Kings,” which is rallying people across the country to stand against what it views as authoritarianism and disregard for democratic principles.

In Idaho, protests are expected in Boise (at the State Capitol), Coeur d’Alene, Driggs, Hailey, Idaho Falls, Lewiston, Moscow, Nampa, Pocatello, Salmon, Sandpoint, Silver Valley, and Twin Falls. Fuel Mitigation Begins June 12 on Tubbs Hill, Bringing Temporary Trail Closures

Starting June 12, fuel mitigation work will begin on Tubbs Hill in Coeur d’Alene, temporarily closing trails beginning on the east side and shifting northwest over time. An archery angler in southern Idaho has set a new state record by catching a 55.5-pound grass carp on the Snake River.
