Founded by Dana and Todd Bellefeuille, the bakery was inspired by their personal experience with special needs and a desire to create meaningful employment opportunities. Known for its homemade soups, pastries, and heartwarming service, the bakery is staffed by a team of dedicated individuals who bring purpose and joy to their work every day.
Beyond delicious baked goods, the Village Bakery is deeply embedded in the community, partnering with organizations like Intercept, Children’s Village, and Down Syndrome Connections to provide training and support. Looking ahead, the bakery plans to host a drive-on car show fundraiser to raise funds for much-needed equipment while bringing attention to local resources for those with special needs. Minnesota Rocked by Assassination of House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman

Minnesota is in mourning after the shocking death of Melissa Hortman, a prominent state lawmaker and leader of the House Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) caucus, in what officials are calling a politically motivated assassination. Hortman and her husband were fatally shot in their Brooklyn Park home early Saturday by a suspect posing as a police officer.
Earlier that morning, Democratic State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot multiple times in their Champlin home. Both survived and are recovering after undergoing surgery. Authorities believe the same suspect is responsible for both attacks. Read More...
