A recent federal funding freeze has put $33 million in Idaho education funding on hold, affecting key programs in early childhood education, special education, and services for low-income students.
The U.S. Department of Education announced a temporary pause on drawing down federal funds across multiple states, including Idaho, as part of an ongoing upgrade to the federal G5 grants management system. Steven “Kyle” Hephner and his family toured their brand-new, three-bedroom, two-bathroom Post Falls home for the first time Thursday, just hours after his winning ticket was drawn during the raffle’s virtual event.
